ABOUT
Hi!
I am Angie, a game designer with a slight affinity to horses (though I do not actually enjoy many horse games... Why, you ask? Check out The Mane Quest!). I have experience making all kinds of games, from an AR theater experience, a serious narrative game, a multiplayer PvP sports game, a coop multiplayer roguelike shooter, many game jams with different experimentations and lately a small puzzle platformer called Blackboard Ponies!
So how did I get where I am now? Weeeeell...
Games. Everybody loves games. I do too, though it never occurred to me that it could be a viable career choice. Since a friend asked me to make a hobby game with him back in early 2017, I couldn't let it go anymore.
The actual possibility to do this professionally has presented itself to me shortly afterwards when my first mentor from Causa Creations (check them out!) took a chance on me as QA tester with the possibility to dabble in other disciplines. This led to me meeting the incredible team of Iron Mountain Interactive and later Rare Earth Games who took me on as QA and guided me towards becoming a game designer.
I love playing all kinds of games, but especially games that challenge me - like League of Legends, roguelikes like Hades and Slay The Spire, though I also like to chill with Traveller's Rest or be nostalgic with FFVII and other RPGs that filled my childhood. And then I love creating games and experiences that make people happy, or make them think. I am also a so-called "horse girl". My dream is to one day create a really good horse game (or two - or three...), of which there currently are mighty few, if you ask me. Combining those two passions of mine successfully would be the most satisfying thing I can imagine though.
